Teeth 164; Outer Diameter 14.23". (The numbers cast into the bellhousing of the transmission don't have anything to do with the number of teeth on the flexplate.) As other posters above have stated, the tooth count on the starter bendix has to be compatible with the tooth count on the flywheel. I think the break for flywheel/starter tooth count was 1987. On my '87, I had quite a time trying to find the correct starter/bendix to fit.

If they are straight across and of different lengths, then the flexplate is a small one, 153-teeth, 12 3/4 inch diameter.
